Organization and Teams
Employees and Roles
Organizational roles and roster management.
Documentation sections
An employee is a user within a specific organization. The same person may have access to different organizations, but the role, team, results, and participation in discussions are considered separately for each one.
The role defines what a person can do in the organization: manage settings, launch surveys, work with growth points, see colleagues, or remain an anonymous participant. The team serves a different purpose: it shows which working group the person belongs to and which team breakdown their answers will fall into. Team membership does not have a separate role.
Organization roles
An organization has an owner and five assignable roles.
| Role | For whom | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | Creator or current owner of the organization | Full control over the organization, including ownership transfer. This is not a regular assignable role. |
| Admin | Manager, HR, or the person responsible for the org's platform workspace | Organization settings, invitations, teams, employees, surveys, and administrative actions. |
| Manager | Department or team manager | Working with restricted work sections: surveys, employees, teams, and growth points, but without organization settings. |
| Assistant | Consultant or our service's technical support | A service role for assisting the client: such a user can connect to the organization upon request and is noticeably different from client employees. |
| Member | Regular disclosed member of the organization | Participates in teams, sees results and growth points, comments and suggests ideas. |
| Guest | Anonymous participant | Participates under a pseudonym, sees a limited list of colleagues, and can work with results and discussions open to them. |
Owner and Admin
Owner is the owner of the organization. They have full access and can transfer ownership to another employee. After the transfer, the new owner receives full control, and the former owner remains in the organization as Admin.
Admin is a regular administrative role that can be assigned to employees. An administrator manages organization settings, invitations, teams, and the roster. There must always be at least one Admin in the organization: the last administrator cannot be demoted or removed.
Guest and Member
The difference between Guest and Member is related to anonymity mode and identity disclosure.
In an anonymous organization, a participant can act as a Guest: instead of a name, they are visible under a pseudonym. If they disclose their identity, their role becomes Member, and the employee list opens to them as a disclosed participant.
In an open organization, the participant acts under their name from the start. At the same time, response privacy does not disappear: no one sees raw answers, and only anonymized answers and aggregates appear in the results when there is enough data for safe display.
Employee list
The employee list helps understand who is in the organization, what a person's role is, and what team they are in. Disclosed employees are visible by name. Anonymous participants are not mixed into this list: they are accounted for separately and identified by pseudonyms where necessary for teamwork.
An employee can have one team inside the organization. This does not expand or narrow their organizational role: a Member does not become a Manager by joining a team, and a Manager does not receive a separate team role. The team affects navigation and analytics, while the role affects access to actions.
Roster management
New people are added via invitations with a pre-selected role. This way, a person immediately enters the organization with a clear access level: as a manager, employee, or our service representative in the Assistant role.
The role can be changed later if the user has the right to manage the roster. Assigning an Admin is protected more strictly: it is only done by the owner or another Admin. An employee can be removed from the organization; at the same time, their association with teams is cleared, but the data from completed surveys remains in the results history.
